Introducing Eisen Tax Center: Tax Reporting, From First W-9 to Final Follow-Up

New Product
October 7, 2026

Tax reporting doesn't start when a form is filed. It starts when you ask a payee for information. And it doesn't end when a file reaches the IRS.

There are missing W-9s to chase. TINs to check. Forms to prepare and deliver. Notices to work through. Decisions to document.

Inside a financial institution or a corporate AP team, that work can cross several people and systems. A problem found at the beginning has to reach the person responsible at the end. Too often, the connection is a spreadsheet or an email.

Today, Eisen Tax Center is generally available to all customers.

Tax Center is an end-to-end tax reporting product built around three connected parts: Payee Manager, Form Production and Backup Withholding. For heads of tax and information reporting at financial institutions and corporate AP teams, it brings the work before, during and after filing into one product.

Payee Manager: start with the right information

A clean filing starts with the payee record. Payee Manager handles W-9 solicitation and collection, along with TIN matching. Missing information and mismatches can be addressed before they reach form production.

For a financial institution, that means keeping payee information connected to the reporting process. For corporate AP, it means treating vendor tax information as part of the work from the start, rather than a separate filing-season cleanup.

Form Production: take the information through filing and delivery

Form Production prepares tax forms, files them with the IRS and delivers recipient copies electronically or by mail. The work that started with the payee stays connected to the form and its submission status.

Supported forms include 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-R, 1099-K, 1099-B, 1099-DA, 1099-C, 1099-A, 1099-Q, 1098, 1098-E, 5498, 5498-ESA and 1042-S.

IRS filing and recipient delivery are separate obligations. Both belong in the same reporting process.

Backup Withholding: keep the follow-up connected

An IRS notice should not mean starting the record from scratch.

Backup Withholding connects notices, payee outreach and withholding decisions to the reporting work that came before them. The team can follow what happened and see what needs attention next.

One product, across the reporting cycle.

A popular feature: FIRE-to-IRIS conversion

Keep the FIRE export your reporting system already produces. Eisen converts it, checks records against IRIS filing requirements and flags issues for your team to correct before submission.

With Eisen-managed filing, Eisen transmits under its own IRIS TCC. Your team does not need to apply for a separate IRIS TCC for that service.

Your team still owns accurate source data, approvals and decisions that need your business context. Eisen handles conversion and managed filing without asking you to rebuild a working export.

Why now: FIRE is retiring

The IRS's last day for FIRE submissions is November 19, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET. Current FIRE users need a path to IRIS for tax year 2026 information returns filed during the 2027 filing season.

That transition is one reason to act now. Tax Center covers the wider reporting cycle: collecting information, preparing and delivering forms, filing with the IRS and handling follow-up.

Tax reporting is one part of the account lifecycle. Bringing it into Eisen means keeping the work connected from the first request for information through the last follow-up.
